They have never had any major significant injuries defying statistical improbabilities in this game.

Every single team other contender had crippling injuries at times last year whether it was Kawhi, Dwight, Blake, Durant, Aldridge, Parker, Lebron, Kyrie, etc

Plenty of teams could have challenged that record over the years (OLD OR YOUNG) but injuries are inevitable.

Simple odds suggest that GSW will have to deal with it eventually as well.
if the whole team keeps up this improbable run of health they could reach for 70...but its just so improbable....Curry, Klay, Draymond are def the 3 most important Warriors. If those 3 stay healthy all year they could approach 70

If the Warriors keep up this winning streak... the Christmas Day game against the Cavs would have them going for 27 straight regular season wins... 2nd best streak ever... a mark set by LeBron and the Heat a few seasons ago.

I honestly and sincerely hope the Warriors victory total comes somewhere in the 65 range(or really anything just to lock up the #1 seed and home court). I would rather sacrifice some wins in order to get our top 9 rotational guys some rest down the stretch. We've all seen how big health is as a factor in playoff strength. The Warriors know what it took to get to the finals last year and this year will be an even bigger grind. They've come out and made a statement to start the year. Now, they need to make a statement to end the year and that is the biggest importance to the team.

Regular season win total doesn't matter if you don't win it all.

I hope they make a run at it but expect them to have a hangover once they lose that could put it in jeopardy.

A few years ago SA was 25-3, Dallas was 23-5, and Boston was 23-4

None of them won the overall top seed, only SA with 61 wins crossed the 60 win threshold

Injuries happen

Getting back to back 60+ win seasons is tough.

Why are you hoping for injuries? Maybe we just know how to preserve minutes.

No where in that post did I get the message that he was hoping for an injury. He was making a valid statement that's based in reality. Also, Pop really knew how to "preserve minutes" too.

They arent the only team in the history that knows how to preserve minutes. Part of it is that and part of it is luck, that is with every team in every sport. Unlike the Cavs, who again have half their team out. The good news is they still have Love right now. Shump, Mo, Kyrie, JR, Delly, Varajeo, and Mozgov have all had injuries or recovered from injuries this year.

One thing Phil Jackson said about what made it easier for Chicago to get to 72 wins was location. There is a lot more travel for an Oakland based team compared to a Chicago one. The Warrior's relatively young age may be enough to overcome that obstacle. Plus, they seem so motivated to win this season. It's going to be close.

The Warriors might get the record, but if they do, it won't be because they made it a goal. According to Luke, they will be resting guys along the way and won't sacrifice going after a title for a regular season record.

Actually hoping they remain undefeated until next Sunday at least. Would be a lot of buzz in Barclays Center next Sunday if they enter Brooklyn undefeated even though there would probably be a lot of Warriors fans lol

A part of it is that they often get out to big enough leads to allow them to rest guys. Sometimes Curry doesn't even play in the 4th quarter. Going back to last season, I wouldn't be surprised if Curry led the league in 4th quarter DNP's.
