I don't know if the ACC should be patting itself on the back for Winning as favorites.
The ACC avoided complete embarrassment late.


Wake Forest was an underdog to Lousiana-Monroe for some reason.
NC State won in the last minute by 1 point over a FCS team at home. (19 pt fav)
Syracuse needed overtime to win by 1 point over an FCS team at home (14 pt fav)




Add in Florida state looking shaky and the Clemson massacre, the ACC collectively performed the worst in week 1.


In fairness, all the power five leagues looked wildly inconsistent and questionable at time.
But, the ACC appeared to be the worst.

Independents were 2-1, with the one loss being Navy to Ohio State.

Seems odd to count the A&M vs South Carolina game since it was an in conference game.

But I guess there are a number of faults with the OP, since it only counts teams favored to start with.
