That was then, this is now. When he signed Romo the team was ok, but not with this much talent. Jerrah knows he ain't got much time left. Also, he's been publicly saying that the Boys have been a S.B. team for 3 years. He'll punt Dak after this year, if there is a year, and try someone else.

I will say it's tough to sign a player when they have a number in mind and maybe over valued themselves. I think what the Cowboys offered was a pretty good deal and there's not much they can do when the contracts keep getting turned down.

It takes both sides willing to give and take Cowboys went up on the money and Dak refused to go longer on the years.
He is tagged for this year but I don’t think he will be signed long term .
On the issue of bumbling the contract same thing applies Dak wants his cake and to eat it 2 on the numbers. He is getting really stupid or really prudent advice from his new agent . I think he is effing up sign for a little less than what you want and you will make it up later especially as a Cowboys QB when football is all over. Worked out pretty well for Aikman and Romo and Roger has nothing to complain about.
