During the 2012 draft, the Eagles' Big Board ranked mid-round QBs in the following order: Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins, and Nick Foles. Fast-forward to the third round, when the Eagles wanted to draft a QB. At the time the Eagles were on the clock in the third round, Seattle had taken Wilson already, which naturally meant that Cousins was their best available QB. Instead of sticking by their Board, however, Andy Reid stood on the table for Foles and, as we know, ultimately got his man. We then took Cousins in the fourth round.
Can you imagine if Reid took Kirk? And can you also imagine us taking Foles? Of course, when we were on the clock in the third round, Wilson was still on the board. Instead of taking him, we took Josh Leribeus. Seattle took Wilson four picks later.
