Lifelong Cynic
The best defenseman on the ice is watching the best forward on the ice.he was eyeing him as soon as he hit the ice.
Whelp, that seals it for me. Clearly a suspension.

local radio said there was some back and forth between then 2 and subban essentially said he was going to hurt the kid.
did you miss that part?
i think you did...
Mark Stone has broken wrist after P.K. Subban slash
"The disturbing part, from our point of view, is that there was a threat made before by Subban to Stone," Murray said. "There were two attempts on faceoffs to slash him. One connected, and then he two-handed him across the wrist in front of the net."
lucic is a douchebag who has cam neely talent, but no spine and little heart.Targeting players on the ice. Threats.
Please tell you hate Milan Lucic as much as you hate Subban then.
Cameron won't do anything and neither will Neil. It's the POs and the Sens know that they've got their hands full with Montreal anyhow. You don't handicap yourself by going headhunting in the POs.
Especially after you've said you're going to do it.
I watched that play over and over, and while I'm a Habs fan and perhaps I'm a bit biased, it didn't seem malicious to me. A slash, yes, a five minute misconduct, maybe, but I thought the game misconduct was a bit of a stretch. I watched Kreider slide into Kerry Price last year skates first ending his playoff run. Ten year old kids learn how to fall properly so as not to injure another player. Shit happens in the playoffs.
he has the potential to be the games premier power forward. soft wrists, big size, tough...can toss the gloves and put in 2 goals if he wants to.Honestly, nope.
That's a good unbiased source you've got there.if you know PK, then you get it.

thats fair, but as i watched the game...i saw what murray said happened. That's a good unbiased source you've got there.
Murray's a smart guy. He's trying to build a case for a suspension. And he's doing it with much more subtlety than Cameron.
But he's still a ridiculously biased source in this case.
Michel Therrien (also ridiculously biased) thinks Subban didn't deserve to get ejected. He was wrong too.
Well said. I forgot that the game went with the 5 minute.Well, there's that pesky "The way it's written in the rule book" thing regarding a five and a game for causing an injury...
I see it very similarly to the one a few years back when a Sens player blasted Eller (Gryba?). Dangerous, and not entirely necessary, but the outcome was far worse than the intention. PK was playing his role, and he whacked at Stone to let him know he was there. He just caught Stone's wrist at the right spot. The non high stick earlier was more egregious, the one where PK went after a high puck and came down hard on a Sens players' visor. That should have been 5 as well, but was only a "playing the puck with a high stick" whistle.
5 and a game is the right in game call. And then no suspension is also appropriate. And if the Sens rely on Goonery, the Habs will own them. The Habs had no answer for the Sens loose, flowing style for large swaths of the game. That's the Sens only chance, and always has been the only shot. If they drop that, they are toast.
And of course a Bruins fan sees PK do this all the time. If you wait long enough, you will find a Boston fan who swears that PK shot Kennedy, paid off Buckner and was the one who killed that kid, not Hernandez.
I think the focus will remain on hockey and not devolve into silliness.
I know I am in the minority, but generally the uglier the game gets the less interested I become. Scrums after every whistle, cheap shots, frequent fights, etc detract from the game IMO.
They also increase game length, which I am against. Make it a penalty to scrum after play has stopped.Totally agree. One of the few things I dislike about playoff hockey is the scrum after every whistle. A lot of it is phony bravado, which makes it even worse. I dont know who started it or when, but this "pus/crosscheck a guy at waist level after the whistle" is just ridiculous.

Yeah I forgot about that rule change.Kerry Frasier explained this yesterday. Under the current rule, if a 5 is assessed because of an injury, the game is automatic. No discretion for referee.
While I agree with you Danny that sometimes it gets a little ridiculous, I don't want the refs to have any more of a spotlight in the playoffs than they already do. Everybody wants to watch hockey, not the refs skating around calling penalties. They also increase game length, which I am against. Make it a penalty to scrum after play has stopped.
Very true, but if they began cracking down at the start of the regular season it should be gone from the game come playoff time. While I agree with you Danny that sometimes it gets a little ridiculous, I don't want the refs to have any more of a spotlight in the playoffs than they already do. Everybody wants to watch hockey, not the refs skating around calling penalties.
