How good will Zion Williamson be?

If I could offer my humble opinion, I don't expect much. Here is my point.

There is 2 " generational" talents in 2 sports ( hockey and football)

Football just retired but was good when healthy.

Hockey almost same thing. Yahoo constantly ranks him #1 for fantasy hockey but I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole because he is always injured or gets shutdown.

I think Generational talents can be easy targets or target for injury. They rarely live up to the hype.

I don't think he will be as good as we all think.

He's going to be a star.

His combination of athleticism and size will guarantee that he put up big numbers.

Will he be the best player on a championship team? Doubtful. But there's only so many guys that can make that claim anyway.

I picture a career arc similar to Blake Griffin.

He's a star on a winning team for a while, and gets endoresements, and then once he hits age 29, his athleticism starts to erode and he just becomes a good player on a fringe team.

Is Blake even 29 yet? Lol.

He's a little bigger than Chuck and hopefully has the hustle and can stay healthy.

And college stats mean jack when translating success in the pros.

He has the issue of a circus following him around though. Not many guys have entered the league with hype like this. That I can remember anyway. (Magic and Bird were before me and I don't remember Jordan as a rookie.)

He'll be a 15 points, 8 rebounds per game guy until his first knee injury. It'll be downhill from there as he gets older and fatter and the knees can't hold up that big body.

Zion is definitely.more hyped than those guys but they had a lot. Pretty much Zion and LeBron have gotten this level of hype IMO
