You mean to tell me there isn't a better way to spend your money than on a 16 year vet with a million miles on him?? :L

May as well bring back Steve Nash while you're at it

Like how? Who would you have gotten with the cap space the Lakers had?

DeMarcus Cousins, Ben Simmons, Kawhi Leonard and Donovan Mitchell.

Not even remotely realistic, but there you go!

No deal. Unless you throw in Anthony Davis and figure out a way to get Swaggy P back. :D

No he won't. And he's out West where the QUALITY IS. No bum playing crapola Bum East teams and cakewalks to finals anymore. Thats gone. He's gonna have a tough road to the finals. and he probably will NEVER get there now.

Sure. You'll get a bunch of glory seeking LeBandWagoners out of it. No ships or dynasties which is more important
Dorian's tone here might be a lil aggressive but i dont see how the content is wrong.

LeBron will be 34 in December and I dont see the Warriors becoming anything less than the favorite for the next 3-4 years even if they do lose Draymond or Klay. With Paul, Harden and Capela all signed up for at least the next 3-4 years I dont see how Houston becomes anything less than a great team. The nuggets have a ton of talent and are a rising team.

What did Dorian say in his post?

LeBron is now out there in the West where the quality is- thats true

He is going to have a tough road to the Finals- much tougher than he has faced in the last 8 years

If i had to bet whether LEBron wins a championship in LA considering he will be 34 in December, and the Rockets and Warriors and all the other teams in the West- if i had a gun to my head I would definitely have to say NO.

he said the West is much tougher than the East and its unlikely LeBron wins another championship. There is absolutely nothing crazy about that statement.

for the Lakers to contend for a championship a ton of things need to happen- the young guys need to be more than just good role players- they have to become high level starters. They have to sign a high level free agent. LeBron has to stay healthy. Every IF that you add just reduces the chances.

Um, he said he's a has been. That's flat out wrong.

You are on record saying James has 2 more seasons as the best player in the world and then 2 more as a top 15-20 player.

Well, the East sucks, so there is that.

But I am defintely taking Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond over Love (contracts not withstanding), and there is a damn good case to be made for Al Horford who is bit as good offensively, but at least comparable overall because of his defense.

Your ability to overrate Cavs is astounding.
And if healthy, Detroit's trio of Griffin/Drummond/Jackson is better than any trio Cleveland has and should be enough to garner the 8 seed.

I said I THINK James is the best player in the world for the next 2 seasons. If someone asked me who I thought would be the best player the next 2 years it would absolutely be Lebron--- but i also think as he will be 34 in December, will not be playing with an All Star for the first time i na decade, and will not have the spacing that has helped his efficiency and kept him healthy, that he is more vulnerable to ceding that mantle of Best Player Alive then he has ever been in the passed, what? 9-10 years or so since he became the best player alive?

At almost 34 Years old and 15 years in the league? Gimme a break..

What the Fuck is a Max contract gonna get you with Lebron? Ohhh.. A bunch of Bandwagon fans I guess. It won't get you 'ships unless you can ALSO bring a bunch of other highly paid all stars to stack around him

Shush there Young Jedi.

Oh.. It will get you SWEPT. great.. Money well Spent. That "max contract" can go to building the future like I said. Not for washed up "has beens" like Le3for9

Thats what I just said DJ. lol

I said I think he will be the best player in the league the next 2 years and still atop 20 player after that for at least the next 2 years- maybe longer.

But if you asked me will LEBron James 100% be the best player in the league this year and is there no chance anyone else would be I would OF COURSE say NO.

If someone asked me- who would you pick as the best player in the league- EASY- LeBron- without a second thought......but if they asked me, what are the chances LeBron is the best player in the league next year- id probably put it at about 70%.....maybe Durant at 15% and AD at 15%....

LeBron, in my mind anyway, is the overwhelming favorite to be the best player in the NBA next year, but that CERTAINLY does not in any way shape or form guarantee it is going to happen or mean that there is not a chance that a guy like Davis or Durant takes it from him.

What do you think its a 100% chance LeBron is the best player in the NBA next year and nothing can derail that? I think that would be an insane statement ot make about a guy who will be 34 shortly into the season.

You rocket surgeon the Lakers still have alotta money left. So LeBron carries the Lakers for a season before they rebuild the roster next year, which is probably their plan. He carried the Cavs all last season. You don't think he can do the same in LA?

Although do you even know what the expectations really are for the Lakers this year? I'm not sure myself but they play in the loaded WC. I would be surprised if they get picked to finish 8th this year.

lol dont be so butt-hurt DJ.

If someone asked who will be the best QB in the AFC next year I say Tom Brady- but I also have to say- ya know Brady is ancient and when you are passed a certain age it can start to go pretty quick.

How many times have we seen an NBA player be the BEST player in the league at age 34--- especially with how many miles he has?

I still take LeBron vs. the field- but I am not going to act like its guaranteed Lebron is going to be the best. If you think that you might be very very sorely disappointed.

as i said- i think its about a 70% chance I think LEBron is the best in the league this year- way better than just taking the field- and i dont see how that is AT ALL unreasonable.
