Beats the hell out of me. While I see you have 6,000+ posts, this is the first time I recall viewing any of your posts.

People on here hate tOSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, Michigan, etal. There may even be a few that hate my lowly Miners!

I certainly don’t hate tOSU. I have defended them and Meyer on boards for years. They simply didn’t warrant being in the CFP this year.

Probably having that shitbird they have as a head coach didn't help OSU.

I don’t doubt that the fact Meyer is the coach, might have been a factor.

I think the real question is how did they pick them over Georgia? The only reason that happened is because TV didn't want a Alabama/Georgia rematch that soon. Rating would have been lower, which means commercial revenue would have been lower. What I can't figure out is, I thought it was suppose to be about the best 4 teams. Looks to me that TV revenue still dictates.
No doubt in my mind that Georgia was definitely one of the four "best" teams. And TV revenue definitely drives just about everything CFB related nowadays.

But, I also think the powers that be didn't want to deal with the potential blowback from excluding three of the P5 conferences. That would have probably accelerated expansion talk. If there was anyway to avoid that they were going to do so. Georgia having two losses gave the committee a good reason. Had Georgia not lost to the corny dogs, the committee would have had a less definitive reationale for excluding them.

@Deep Creek dont listen to others when it comes to me. Judge for yourself. I won’t comment about the person who tried to influence your opinion. That’s his problem.

Really you won a NC since getting your ass curb stomped by Clemson?

Nah you didn’t.

I don't think they give you a trophy for scoring. Congrats on your close loses to Alabama. Dabo is 1 for 3 at chances to win a CFP trophy. Could be 1 for 4. Urban is 1 for 2.

And Urban is 0-2 against the Tigers and the nuts are 0-3 against the Tigers.

Congrats on getting your shit embarrassed the last time you made it.

You aren’t very good at this.

How much of those stats are because Big 12 programs in general seem to ignore defense??? Just saying.
Could be.

Just like the stats from defensive leaders could be due to the fact that they play against a bunch of shitty offenses.

We did everything I said we needed to do against Bama to have a chance to win. We did everything on the list. We were balanced on offense. We didn't turn the ball over. We forced turnovers. We got pressure on Tua. And it still wasn't enough. We didn't deserve a playoff bid.

If you go by 4 most deserving teams, the committee probably got it right.
I thought the committee's charge was to select the four "best" teams instead of the four "most deserving" teams. Am I wrong?

Well, they beat Auburn in last year's bowl game, yeah, the team that beat both Bama and Georgia.

They beat 10 win Cincy and 8 win Memphis(twice), and 8 win Temple, and yes, 6-6 Pitt.

So yes, it was an easier schedule, and I'm not arguing UCF should have gotten in OVER Notre Dame, I'm arguing for an 8 team tourney. I'd have ranked UCF #7 in the tournament, ND #6, OSU #5, Georgia #3, OU #4, and Wash #8. But that's just me.

Hmmmm and Memphis lost to Weak Florist. Lol not exactly a ringing endorsement

I don’t think you are wrong at all.

It changes from year to year. Last year they went with 4 best, this year they went with the 4 most deserving.

Seriously Zooky, I only know you from the cfb forum here and from what I can tell, you seem like a decent guy. Have you considered the fact that it's ok to disagree with people without having to believe they are idiots, and without insisting on publicly labeling then as idiots? Same would apply to your calling out people's patriotism. I understand that SOME Trump supporters probably question your patriotism and your intelligence, but that's their problem, no reason you need to lower yourself to their level, right? I mean, you do realize your aggressive approach will NEVER convert a single Trump supporter and in fact you will only succeed in inspiring them to dig in their heals and stand more firm in their support of Trump. The more aggressively you attack him and them, the more he can get away with in their eyes. So YOU and people like you are making the problem worse. I mean, I know you mean well, right? I'm sure you have nothing but good intentions, so I'm not trying to say your opinions are wrong, just the way you present them.

Otherwise, it's sports, Michiganders are going to hate OSU and maybe it's fans, and they are going to hate each other, too, if one is an MSU fan and the other a UM fan. Gopher fans hate Badger fans and vice versa, that's just the nature of sports and fans who hang out in discussion forums.

He was 24/27, with 3 drops, and he wasn’t dinking. I’ve seen tOSU’s pass defense. It isn’t that good. It was better with Bosa, but there’s no Bosa. They still will beat UW, but UW’s offense looks like an average Alabama HS unit.
tOSU's pass defense wasn't great either but did finish at #42...albeit against some teams that don't really throw it around a lot. Again, Tua's performance was against the 105th worst pass defense. Several QBs had good performances against OU's defense.

All that said, I like Tua's chances against Clem's secondary...if he gets time to throw it.

Anything can happen, but barring another 12-0 Notre Dame team fucking things up, it's really hard to see the playoffs for the next few years not being some combo of Bama, Clemson, Georgia, Oklahoma and Ohio State.

24/27 with 3 drops is good against air. Not really sure what tOSU could’ve done against him. Every ball was right on the money.

I'm not and haven't ever tried to advocate that UCF is a more deserving team THIS YEAR, than Notre Dame. I just don't think it's right that anytime Notre Dame goes undefeated they automatically are considered a Championship contender, and anytime a non-P5 team goes undefeated they are automatically denounced for their weak schedule, something that it's almost impossible for them to do anything about.

My referencing last year's bowl game win over Auburn is only to point out the possibilities. It's "possible" that UCF was one of the Best 4 teams last year. But because of preconceived perceptions of fans and the NCAA's desire to maximize profits and a system designed to make it almost impossible for non-P5 teams to ever qualify for the CFP, we'll never know just how good last year's UCF team was, and we might not get a chance to really know how good this year's UCF team is either, because LSU might be a decent team, but #11? It's like the bowl people purposely made sure UCF wasn't paired up against a Top 5-8 ranked team, seeing as their beating the likes of an Ohio St or a Georgia would promote the tourney expansion people's argument and that would rock the boat and those wanting to maintain the status quo wouldn't like that.
