the Miami Marlins just finished with the 2nd-worst record in baseball

the Panthers finished with the worst record in hockey

the Miami Hurricanes football team has only finished in the top 25 once since 2005 (#19 in 2009)

the Miami Hurricanes basketball team received zero votes in any of the preseason polls

the Miami Hurricanes baseball team finished with a losing record in the ACC and 5th in the Coastal Division

and the Miami Dolphins are in shambles as evidenced by posts on ThePhins Dolphins fans forum since their loss last night...

This is pathetic.

CLEAN HOUSE TOTALLY
COACHES
GM
HALF THE PLAYERS QB, RB, OL, WR
Keep Grimes, Hartline, Punter

another embarrassment in a decade plus of
embarrassments.

This whole ****ty organization can suck my
****ing dick

Who gives a ****? That where I'm at now.
Starting over yet again. I'm not wasting my
money on jerseys, I'm not getting excited about
a coach or a young quarteback. This team has
to earn my excitement back. I'm 26, I've never
seen anything close to a winner and I've just
given all the emotion I can.

What a disaster.

Everyone needs to go...
its over. Blow it
all up and start over.

Gonna be long rest of the season.
Im at a loss for words.

we have no identity once again, cant run, barely
we can pass, defense stinks, special teams, and
coaching is a laughter

Yeah clean sweep.

flat out pathetic.

this team sucks on and off the field

any other teams on our schedule we beat? i
can't think of any

Blow up time

I barely care anymore. All the losing has made
me immune to it.

The Dolphins are the worst
team in the league. They may not win another
game this year

WE have the worst coaches in the NFL

Embarrassing season all around.

The only thiing this team has adapted to is
sucking bad each week

There is no way I can watch any sports channel
for a long time now - it was bad before and
now it will be unbearable as they point fingers
at the whole organization falling apart.

The Clowns!
Our GM acts like a clown
The entire team trips over their clown shoes
And our goofy ass owner looks like a clown
The Miami Clowns

I'd clean house though, let the new GM/Coach
decide. If the GM decides to keep Philbin, so be
it... I think players are going to not want to
come play here though if Philbin is back,
considering all this happened on his watch.

this is disgusting.

I haven't felt this bad about this
organization in a long time. And I have
supported this team for 40 plus years.

Philbin has had this train wrech for 5 preseason
games and 9 regular season games and has
been able to find no answers. He has presided
over a franchise that has become not only a
laughing stock but an object of contempt. He is
a monumental failure
it will take a decade or more to
recover from this, because no one will want to
come to play or coach here. We all need to
understand the scale of this disaster.

It's a mess. We're a mess.

**** this team, **** me, and **** football.
Thank god I live in Charlotte NC (for now) and
can hear some positivity from a real franchise
for a little bit on the radio. When I move back to
ORlando in a few weeks Ill be begging for
suicide until NBA playoffs start......seriously
thank god for the HEAT.

We waited 11 days to see this. I hope San
Diego rapes our face....I can't even fathom
living in Charlotte if/when the Panthers murder
us. I hope SunTrust hires me in Orlando before
that so I can move away...

If I'm an LA investor looking to move the team
to Los Angeles I am on the phone with Ross
tonight.

I swear to ****ing god Don Shula sucked the
devils dick in the 1960s to give us the
undefeated season and curse us for eternity.
How else can you explain Marinos failures?!
Imagine Tom Brady being as good as he is, but
with 0 superbowls? Manning? It doesnt happen
like that. But it did to us. Montana, Brady,
Manning, Favre, Young all ****ing hang out and
share beers and record setting season stories,
with Marino....except Marino has no ring. ****
me. And **** this. This team is cursed I swear
to god.

I think the final coffin nail has been hammered
in for Philbin,Ireland and Tannehill...Big changes
coming for next season.

I was a Dolphins Fan.
Was.
From 1977 to October20 th,2103. The
loss to the Patriots was it for me. Made
me realize that the Dolphins were
hopelessly inept and have been since
Shula was fired and Marino retired.
Class?
Right...Shula brought it to organization
and took it with him when he was
fired.
Hope?
As in Miami always had a chance as
long as Marino was slinging passes if
the defense could get the ball back into
his hands at the end of the game?
Wannstedt kicked that out the door
with Marino. I should have realized
that on the day in New England when,
with a chance to make the playoffs, he
called for a pass from a weak armed
QB into a strong wind instead of a run,
on the day when team was unstoppable
running it the ball. Result? Incomplete
pass, bad punt, and a quick drive for
the game winning FG. No playoffs,
season over.
I know, it was one bad play call, but it
epitomized the Dolphins organization
after the Shula and Marino years. False
hope being sold in a bottle by a
completely inept organization. You
can't even call the Dolphins snake-oil
sellers, they aren't that smart. Owner
to new owner, coach to coach, I finally
had enough, I quit, retired as a fan. I
still have the Marino and Shula, years,
and I feel bad for the younger fans that
didn't have them, never got to watch
one of those games. Knew what it was
like, almost every season, to always be
alive—in the hunt.
Quitting gave me a chance to set back
and look at everything honestly. To
laugh at those ridiculous new uniforms
—the Aquafresh toothpaste uniforms
that make a mockery of everything the
Dolphins ever were. To know the
owner, if he were smart and wanted to
restore that lost culture of class and
winning ways, needs to fire the GM
and the entire coaching staff, but
knowing he won't. I don't care, I'm no
longer a fan, I just to get laugh at all of
it, of the time I spent being a foolish
fan buying those bottles of false hope,
year after year. I'm laughing mostly at
myself.

Or perhaps one could ask how big of a curse was it for Miami to "sell their soul to the devil" by taking LeBron?

I think the question needs to be asked the other way around:

How big of a savior has Miami been to LeBron?

After all, let's not forget James failed to lead back-to-back 60+ win teams to the Finals (in 09 and 10)... so if not for joining forces with two -2- other franchise superstars (in Miami) LeBron would be sitting on 0 rings right now.

Trying to blame it on lebron?? Miami became a basketball town ever since wade got drafted. In baseball the marlins are lucky enough to have two world series in the last 16 years.. With the amount of money the marlins spend, we're lucky to even have one... If you gonna blame a curse on the dolphins i would say ricky williams was that curse or maybe dan marino retiring we just haven't been able to find that franchise QB. . Shit... i can see the hurricanes curse was uncle luke with all his wild parties down here... (those were the good old days..lol) anyways if your a heat fan, this is the time to enjoy history in the making.. Dolphins will have their chance... Hopefully win a superbowl before i die lol... And about the florida panters... Really? Its fucking florida am surprise we even have a hockey team..

Miami is just not a great sports town.

Even the HEAT have the fan late arrivals and fan early exits.
The Canes did not draw people even when they were good.
The Marlins and Panthers have never drawn people good or bad teams.

Miami teams tend to have more national television audience fans than a local game fanbase.

That is not unusual for sunbelt relocation cities.

Miami doesn't really need saving though....

It has never wanted to be a sports town.

It has so much else going on for it. Sports are just a small part of the Miami vibe.

MIAMI is a great city.

It doesn't have to be a great sports town.

If it weren't for Bosh, Wade and Allen, Lebron would have zero rings. He's just a good player who got lucky and got on the right team with good chemistry.

Lebron is really nothing special. He couldn't take Cleveland anywhere. No team is going to win it all riding on Lebron's back.

The Heat are the example of success for an expansion franchise.

Canes football was SO good, that the NFL drained our rosters. They are on the way back to becoming prominent, but have had a few speed bumps slowing them down.

The Marlins, they usually blow, but a lot of cities would kill for the 2 World Series that they did win.

Dolphins, just look at there qb,s since Marino and nothing more need be said.

LA is 5th on the list, but if you where to add all the college titles from UCLA & USC they would hop right behind New York in total Pro Sports & college. Just UCLA's 11 National Titles would problaby put LA 2nd, that's pretty impressive :10:

Miami is overrated. Too hot, too bright, too much traffic, too many Hispanics (no offense lol), always under construction. The only thing nice about Miami is the beaches, and even then I've been on way nicer beaches. Even their nude beach is full of gross people. Overrated

Very few sunbelt cities are great sports towns.

it is not a bad thing.

People in places like Miami or LA cheer when the local teams win, but they don't obsess over it.

It doesn't mean they are bad sports fans.

It just means that cultural and climate dictate a more diversified entertainment palette.

I'll give you the traffic part... Its horrible.. And the nude beaches are full of old people.. See if you go to miami on your own as just a tourist you won't enjoy it as much as you was to go with a local.. Trust me we have some nice spots that is tourist free that would make you change your mind lol

See the problem is that miami and L.A has these rich people that don't even understand the game of basketball sitting on the lower section barely cheering for the team. They spend most of the time on their phone then watching the game. I have spend some good money on those seats before usually going with a friend or a gf.. I swear it seems like we are the loudest once in that entire section.. They sometimes give us a bad look cause we being too loud and i say fuck them they ain't no real heat fans.. The true heat fans are always at the top.. Its sad but that is the way it is.

I think Miami is lebrons savior since he needs multiple stars around him to insulate himself from being exposed.
