How bad is the offense?

In their last 15 games the Sharks have scored more than 2 goals exactly ONCE!! Of course that does not count the shootouts. How on earth does a professional hockey team not score more than that by accident?

Another stellar effort from Marleau tonight --- 1 SOG in more than 20 minutes ice time. Of course Thornton was on fire with 2 SOG. But he did score a goal, so some credit for that. And, neither Marleau or Thornton had a missed or blocked shot. That is 3 SOG in over 44 minutes of combined ice time. These guys are supposed to be leaders on this team. They should be working harder than anybody on the ice.

I usually watch most of a televised Sharks game, but lately they are too frustrating and just plain boring. At least if they were losing 6 - 4 it would be more fun to watch.

I switched to the Coyotes/Ducks game when Iginla scored.

This Sharks team isn't really worth our time. Only watch if you're really bored and/or there are no other games on, IMO.

I really would love to hear somebody affiliated with the Sharks say that they are pissed, and sick of the way the team has been playing. I am so tired of the lackadaisical attitude at all levels, and the quotes that they are playing well but not catching the breaks. Somebody needs to step up and show some leadership both on and off the ice.

I know that they must care, but it sure doesn't show.

You need to watch the game again if you think Marleau was the issue last night. He and Sheppard were the best forwards for the Sharks and the only ones who put in a full 60 minutes of consistent effort.

Yeah Todd's gotta go. Robinson and Johnson have done wonders for team defense and PK. I'm assuming Todd handles much of the offense and PP. The PP has yielded jack diddly squat. They did have a good showing vs NAS a couple games ago, but that seems like an anomaly.

If the OTT coach can get so much out of his hobbled team missing its best forward and dman, Todd should at least get the boys to try hard. Time to invigorate this team or risk guys like Couture, Pavs, Burns, Demers getting nonchalant, like the captain.
