The irony of this thread. After 2013 the CB situation in NY changes from worse than Detroit's to much talent to keep young promising kid.

Yet Lions are still worse off.:L

Actually good read. ANything that upgrades the LIon secondary I am for, most glaring need we all know.

IMO the Lions need a guy who is game ready. He seems to be almost there. No need for projects or a kid who be ready next year.

I remember the hype Nate gave on a WR who never made squad. Edwards got cut this year. So... may be just talk of who he called lil bra??

Yeah, I thought about that, too. And I agree we could use game-ready guys; he's just in his 2nd year. Still impressive to see a vet go out of his way to show support for a kid like that. If it was a team that wasn't already fortified at the position, I probably wouldn't have thought much of it. But if it's a matter of the kid showing well but there just not being enough room for him there...well...we aren't blessed with that problem here.

Can't hurt to bring him in- we should have a roster spot opening up today w/ Van Noy...

I'd still rather have champ bailey. We have enough young CB's, we need someone to mentor them. Mathis is good, but he's very fundamental.

Id rather see a safety with Quin at corner.

Were all set on young kids that don't know what they're doing in coverage.

The $.05 or a true corner?

Could Champ play safety like Woodson has done?

Either. I think a solid, old corner can play safety at a better rate than some untested kid can play corner. And I think Quin can play corner just fine, relatively speaking.

Not saying Im asking for Champ Bailey. Just a safety in general. Id like to see our youngsters play at corner and move forward accordingly. Before adding yet another youngster. Does that help?

What about Isa Abdul-Quoddus at CB? He is a ball hawk and its not like he will actually get to play safety anytime soon as he is 5th on the depth chart.
