42-14 - I see Houston kept it close - Do we have to play these guys?

I mentioned in another thread that New England is averaging over 35 points a game. Yes, Houston is supposed to be special, and they have J.J. Watt, but what is scary is that 42 points is less than a touchdown more than what the Patriots are averaging per game.

Who needs a defense when nobody can keep up with your offense?

Huston was so dumb not to kick those 2 FGs in the first half. 6-21 is not so bad. They also would not have had to force things at the end of the half and could have tried for a FG instead of long pass plays.

Huston became too one dimensional and it cost them the game. That and they were blitzing all the time and Brady is deadly against the blitz.

I don't think it QUITE works out that way, but I'd rather have a dominant offense and mediocre defense than the other way around.

I like Smith and Smith and Willis, but I miss Montana and Rice and Craig.

we had pretty solid d's when we were winning championships. its just the offense got all the credit.

I didn't see Houston play much defense. At least 3 of those TDs the receiver/TE was wide open.

yes we did and thats just the nature of football, the offensive skill players get more exposure, more highlights.

don't want to go so far as "no name", but we had some good D-lines and/or front 7's.

Well, unfortunately, the Pats D looked pretty good too.
