That's what I thought...........

But then Huskers.com posted a link for tickets to the Insight Bowl...........and now I'm almost convinced we must be playing Texas.

Texas dropped out of the Insight with the loss today.

Oklahoma a strong possibility, but the Huskers won't be available for the Insight to pick.

One has to wonder if the Insight and Capital One did some dealing behind the scenes though..............

Cuz it sure seems weird that the link showed up on the official Huskers Athletic site today for Insight Bowl tickets

On exactly the same wavelength you were. I was overly excited as Southern Miss did their business to Houston and I was sure that meant the BCS bid was going Michigan. Then the ESPN guys had to remind me that alot can shake down before the rankings come out tomorrow. Now TCU is close to an automatic bid. They just have to finish in the Top 16 and be ahead of any BCS automatic conference winner. They are way ahead of the highest Big East team (W Virg). Who knows where Oklahoma, Georgia and the loser of the Big Ten Conference Championship will fall. Then if Clemson beats Virginia Tech, the ACC may have 2 reps.
Although it's only one game and anything can happen, I agree with you and others in that I would like to see how we will fare against Arkansas (the expected Capital One Bowl rep from the SEC).
This season should make the powers of the BCS at least think about a playoff. :becky:

Another thing..........if Wisconsin loses this game, don't they then become a prime contender for the Capital One??

The Insight would be licking it's chops for OU (9-3) vs NU (9-3). Backroom deals for bowls aren't uncommon at all.

That link is no longer working is it? They probably have multiple links available (just in case) to choose from tomorrow as soon as their bowl is announced.

I still think Michigan gets it's At Large now that Georgia and Houston lost, which sends Nebraska to Flawda.
