I remember watching these re-runs in the 80's (??) on ESPN. Well before they resurrected the idea for the All-Star game.

I just watched a few of those episodes on youtube. Interesting stuff. I was reading about that show and it was pretty popular and probably would have gone on for a few more seasons but after that one season the announcer had a heart-attack and died. He was also one of the creators of the show and a former minor league announcer that knew the players and convinced them to be on the show. So when he died they just decided to cancel it.
