no looking at the probable lineups for the next 2 weeks or so we will be fielding a weaker offensive and defensive team and that is what i'm basing it on

They next guy isn't AB but they have to just step up and do they're job, there are 24 other guys out there

That was sweet, glad I took a quick peek and a break. Now back to yard work

Why would you call him up for 2 weeks? If he's not part of your current plans you leave him be.
Why not? It could be good for him and the team. I just don't see the downside since I can't think of anything remotely close to what Romeo is concerned about happening to any of our hitter in the past when called up from the AA level after having a lot of success at AA. I think his experience in big league camp in ST was valuable to him and 2 weeks in June could be valuable as well.

If this team can just play .500 ball for two weeks they can stay relevant. Wish Rua was healthy.

i know that but this lineup just got weaker both offensively and defensively

Yes. And they've won 9 of the last 11. It's not unrealistic to think they can play .500 baseball for two weeks without Beltre.

Meh somebody will step up each night and they will win as a team. Not like AB was just tearing it up on offense.

They will miss his D but they will win as a group

There's no upside, and yes there is risk. I don't care that you don't see it. It's a bad idea.

Makes no sense to me to bring him up. Leave him be.

That has to be the best win of the season so far and had to be great fun! Should give them great momentum

They'll miss Beltre's presence in the lineup more than his bat. It's not like he was killing the ball or anything.

Cmon season ending strike tomorrow! Rangers will forever be a winning club if that happens.

Romeo, you know that you think every idea that isn't yours is a bad idea. You didn't have to even mention that. I knew that when I first realized we disagreed.
