Much better Chi Chi
I think it's on Leonys. With a full count Leonys doesn't have to swing. I don't think he understands the game. Bannister was glaring at him as he walked in. The pitch wasn't hittable.
8.Wow. How many pitches was that? Good half inning, Chi Chi.

Rev made a fair point, going on contact may not have been up to him. In either case, the execution was poor by somebody. I'm getting pretty aggravated with Beltre lately. His little hot streak didn't last long.
Leonys didn't have to swing Romeo. If he lets the pitch go like a decent hitter would then it's 2 on, nobody out. I'm sure Bannister didn't want him to swing at anything with 3 balls. He doesn't think out there.
That's exactly my point. He's not a decent hitter. He's dumb. A manager has to know his personel. It's ultimately on the manager. As a supervisor, if I choose the wrong person for a specific task, and that person does a poor job, who is it ultimately on? It's on me for not knowing or choosing my personel correctly.
Martin is a mental midget, so putting a "thought pattern" on him is absurd.
Sorry, but that's a dugout fuck-up 100%.
DDJ just keeps producing.
I've been harping for - I'm sure too long for some of ya - about how we should take the "decision making" process out of Martin's hands; or is that head?

I would say it's on both. Which is what I should've said here. Leonys should know that if he lets the unhittable pitch go then it's a win. I won't ever just blame a manager in that situation when a player screws up. He's a ML baseball player.
He puts EA out there almost every night. Is it Bannister's fault every time EA makes an error?
