- home crowd adds a bit of energy, incentive, comfort, etc
- home team can change lines last (ie. line matching)
- visiting team puts their stick down first for faceoffs, so home team should win more
- traveling (non regular sleep patterns) can make it tougher to get the legs moving

I wish EA would finally put atleast 1 of these things in to their NHL games

They have. When you are at home and a stoppage occurs, you can see what line the other team is putting out in the corner of the screen. It doesn't help you tell WHO IS FREAKING ON IT, but still.

And I think teams take a minor stat penalty on the road. I know they did in 2004; goalies took a -2 across the board on the road.

Yea, but because of the time limit, its hard to match up, plus I've changed my mind RIGHT before the time limit and left the home team screwed a couple of times
