Can't say I remember seeing anyone picking Happ as the #2 starter for this team and yet so far he is miles ahead of the other 3. Miles and miles.

I don't mind the roller coaster, as long as he doesn't blow it. He can walk the bases loaded every time he comes out as far as im concerned, as long as he gets the save.

Good for Happ. It's early but he looks like he should be better then Young was. Doesn't walk anyone and has great location. Now hopefully some of the other guys can follow suit.

It seems kind of impossible that they won't. Kuma can't stay at 6.60 much longer. Same with Walker with his 10.60

Some terrible losses, but the team's hanging in there. Just waiting for a team to get hot and break away for a bit in the West. Wouldn't be shocked if it were us, actually.

Does anyone want to start my conversation up again about how I said Altuve was better than Cano? Just kidding...on the conversation restart part. Still say he is better at this stage in their respective careers.

I think Kuma and Paxton will figure it out. I need to see more out of Walker. I want to believe but I need to see more consistent control. It's been frustrating because they have kicked a few games they should have had. But yeah it's hard to imagine some things going much worse. Finish April around .500 and it should be fine.

And for the record (for chosen few won't get their panties in a bunch), that isn't a knock on Cano just a big respect for Altuve.

I kinda feel like I'm comparing apples to oranges when I compare Altuve to Cano. Both of them can hit for a high average, but Altuve is more of a stolen base guy, while Cano is more of a power hitter.

J.A Mother F'n Happ. now that was a great start. I forget which one of the negative nancy's in the preseason was looking a happs numbers and hand wringing saying "can the mariners really afford to let this guy hang himself in the early season" At that point I said that Happ was gonna have a great year. So far so good.

Good game, the damn astros are pesky aren't they. Almost got rodney coastered but at the end of the day he shot his errrr Arrow.

One other point... .how crazy is baseball. Rememer that empty feeling after the first two losses of this series? And now how good do we feel going into a day off, a win, and only a game out of first.
