It appears to me as a blindside unnecessary interference. Match penalty because of reputation, but how come he has so many questionable hits? If Ovechkin does this, is even a minor?

Any interference would be unnecessary. Didn’t seem like much or any intent from his skating. He has so many hits because he plays too recklessly. But that doesn’t mean they all are and if you can’t differentiate then what’s the point in having this wonderful human brain we all got for free.

But if the refs won’t give him a chance by injecting match penalties into garden variety intereference calls, then I can’t blame Tommy for throwing up his hands and saying ‘fuck it, I don’t know what you all want.’

This feels like uncharted territory here. Has there ever been an incident where the gamut of possibilities has been so high? It could be a gross miscarriage of justice for even getting more than 2 minutes to some yet others can see him getting another 20+ games. And everything in between is on the board as well.

Perhaps he will cut a deal with Mueller and the DOPS will grant him leniency or if he doesn't maybe he gets pardoned from a higher up.

In the days after the Caps won the Cup, several of the Caps went and got tattoos. Mocking Burakovsky and Vrana who struggled in getting their tattoos, a bearded Brett Connolly casually got his Stanley Cup tattoo while casually eating a piece of pizza.

Fast forward to now. A fan said he would get a tattoo of Connolly getting a tattoo and having a slice if he gets 1,000 retweets. He reached that mark getting some from even the Capitals' players themselves.

Devante Smith-Pelly even offered to pay for the tattoo during a game interview.

And artists are now submitting designs for the eventual tattoo the fan has said he will make good on. Hilarious stuff.
