From Friedman:

17. Best story heard from the Capitals’ Stanley Cup celebration: The morning after they won, the travelling party could not find Alex Chiasson for the bus ride to the airport.

“We were like, ‘Where is this guy?’” said Mike Vogel, well-known to fans for writing the “Dump ’N Chase” blog at washingtoncaps.com. “We went knocking on the door and there was no answer…. So security opens the door, and there’s no one in this room.”

They packed his stuff, stepped out of the elevator into the hotel lobby and walked right into Chiasson. He had been in Starbucks.

“He said, ‘That’s not my luggage; mine is on the bus.’ I said, ‘No, we went to your room and packed it.’ He said, ‘No, it’s on the bus.’”

It turned out Chiasson was unhappy with his original room and changed it.

“I can’t imagine this guy going back to his room and… ‘Why is all my stuff packed?’”

This person is a much better person than I am - I'd have 5 freezers full of chicken nuggets delivered to my house.

Every once in awhile I'll troll the Pens' fans, but this guy takes his trolling seriously. ;)

Tom Wilson's suspension looking like the best thing that ever happened to him and he's proving to be the heartbeat of this Caps' squad.

Caps are 7-1 since his return. Wilson has 12 points in those 8 games. His PIMs are down. He still hits hard but he's using his speed and his skills more. If you were watching him for the last 30 games of last season and in the playoffs, you could see next level written all over his game. He's playing like we hoped he would when he arrived.

He's shored up the PK as well. The Caps were at the bottom of the league before Wilson's return with goals scored on 18 of 63 (or 28.6%) power plays by opponents. Since his return, the Caps have yielded only 2 goals on 24 kills (8.3%).

Keep it up, Tommy.

GO CAPS!!!

12 points in 8 games - big deal, probably a bunch of secondary assists on the power play.

So you're saying Tom Wilson > Sidney Crosby?

Tom Wilson wears #43, Sidney Crosby wears #87, so simple math tells us Tom Wilson is half the player that Sidney Crosby is.

But can he hit a curve ball?

You’d be wrong

Yeah, Tom Wilson doesn't play on the PP hardly ever, though Oshie's injury allowed him to snipe a PP goal the last game.

Maybe people would better understand Tom if we had a whole thread dedicated to him. I know the Caps' fans and Super Wilson fans like @forty_three and @esls79 would be pumped about it. :thumb:

Garden variety interference call. Ridiculous he gets a misconduct for that.

@forty_three and @esls79 bitching about it as usual. What a couple of broken records.

How come I sometimes come down on the side of Wilson and sometimes against him but you’re both always are on the same side?

Pathetic and predictable.

It appears to me as a blindside unnecessary interference. Match penalty because of reputation, but how come he has so many questionable hits? If Ovechkin does this, is even a minor?

If Cogliano got two games last year and he had a spotless record, I don't see how this isn't a suspension.

I say two games and a warning if he gets another suspension before Christmas they will take away his Stanley Cup ring.
