I don't mind him being on the roster. That isn't a problem. The problem to me is Banister saying Gomez is here to start.

Hopefully hes gonna start for a week or 2 until he proves he should or shouldn't and then he's either benched or launched if it is the latter

I am not sure what type of clubhouse guy Gomez is but I would think JD talked to Lucroy and Jeffress about this before doing anything.

Round Rock had Gallo, Guzman and Robinson strike out all 3 times up and Nicholas 3 of the 4 times up and Gomez who had a double along with Duffy striking out 2 of the 4 times up as the team struck out 18 times. The only guy not to strike out was Alberto.

And who knows what Jeff will do. Saw some weird stuff today i.e. Chirinos vs Lucroy with Martin pitching with the next day off.

I would have Lucroy catch every game started by Holland, Darvish and Perez myself.

Cloby seemed to pitch OK to Chirinos. So when he comes back, maybe this is where we give Lucroy some rest.

I was thinking about the possibility mentioned in the article of trading Moreland to a division rival. It seems outlandish, but suppose the Gomez signing was made to free up Profar and Rua to play 1B so they could trade Mitch. I doubt he will be traded, but it is an intriguing idea.

Based on what we have been seeing right now to trade Moreland and play Profar/Rua would be taking a step backwards. I like his defense overall and power. If Banister would play him more it is possible he could be close to a 30 HR guy this year. He has 100 less ABs than a normal starter would have at this time of the year. Profar will get better it is just going to take a little time.
