Like I said earlier... He will continue to do what he always does! "Just enough" for the coaches to be convinced that he is worthwhile to keep his training wheels on.

He will never amount to anything more than a QB3.

I think they can figure out a way to use him on offense. But as a return guy, I agree, he is pretty useless. All speed but very little skill.

even on offense, its a gimmick, you know its coming, whose gonna replace, AB? Bell? Wheaton? Marty? Heath?

If they inject him occasionally and be smart about it, then I think he would be a good tool to keep around. But if Haley plans to only bring him in on certain plays then it would be really easy for defenses to key on him. Hence why i say to be smart about it.

Running Archer out of the slot is ideal. Obviously isn't going to be better than AB, Bryant or Wheaton. But in double wide sets, why not?

He may be athletic, but he's not going to excel in the slot.

Gardner has been doing good things, but I don't think he will be much better in the slot. For me I want someone that can create space in the slot. Someone that can get between the LBs or behind them & in front of the safeties quickly. Gardner would be like a Justin Brown 2.0 . Having a speedster like Archer out there would open up the offense more. Just my opinion. But if Gardner can do all that, then I'd be all for him.
