I would be happy about that can't speak for the rest of the coast
yeah sir, but we don't count as we're fans of west coast teams

Great points, but the MWC still doesn't compare to the ACC. Clemson plays two of the top 6 teams (Auburn and SCar) OOC. Those two alone are far and away better than any team Boise has on their schedule. I do not want to sound like I am hating on Boise, but their SOS will continue to hurt them until they get in a conference that is an auto BCS. I'll go so far as to say that if Boise State was in the ACC, they would contend for the conference every year, but until they actually prove it on the field, it's all a matter of perception.
IMO SOS and "BCS conferences" are over rated .Maybe Boise should join Notre Dames conference BCS is all about hype anyway
it has a lot to do with attrition. Teams are taking injuries hard right now. Hell, we played without our starting running back and quarterback this past week. If we had had a tougher game than previous "might as well be mid-major" Colorado there could have been issues.
Ask Utah how they're dealing with their injuries and lack of depth.
how pissed off would the east coast be if the championship game was Boise State vs Stanford????

Thing is anyone can win on any given day why deprive the country of a potentially greater game for what usually turns out to be an over hyped blow out.To me going undefeated means more than SOS Boise could run with anyone in cfb I don't feel they should be punished for their conference .They play the games for a reason and if anything its nice to see the underdog get a shot.
I think you're missing that it is significantly more difficult to go undefeated playing in most AQ conferences than the usual non AQ schedule. I like BSU contrary to what people usually think Oregon fans feel. I think they can beat ANYONE on a single game basis. I also think that if they had to go through a tough schedule they MAY go undefeated whereas the schedule they have now is almost guaranteed an undefeated season.
I think more should go into it than being an AQ school this Boise team is not a fluke team nor A team that should be looked past or written off .If Boise goes undefeated I would take them over a one loss AQ team any day of the week.
the problem I have with that is Oregon could have played New Mexico instead of LSU. I doubt we'd have lost. If we then went on and played every game the same (with the huge assumption and leap that we finish undefeated) we'd get the nod over BSU. No one would argue. It'd be what it is. Instead Oregon played a more difficult schedule and took that loss. BSU has those New Mexico type games almost all of their schedule. There isn't any risk. That really is my heartache with it.
but the problem with perception is for some reason every seems to pin the rest of the teams we play with New Mexico
there is only one New Mexico on our schedule
and they're the worst team we play, we don't play any FCS schools like everyone else does
Boise State vs Stanford in the title game would be crazy
Andrew Luck and Kellen Moore, the two smartest, quickest release and most accurate quarterbacks in college football playing each other.
I didn't know Case Keenum played on either of those teams.
I agree. I'm not trying to bash BSU or anything. If it's not obvious, I do have a tremendous amount of respect for the program.
However while every conference has their Vandy, WSU, Indiana, New Mexico etc... most conferences also have at least another marquee matchup that really tests them. BSU could have had TCU had TCU not been so down this year.
You don't play a UDud/ASU/Stanford, LSU/Bama/USCe/Arkansas, Wisconsin/tOSU/MSU etc... Hopefully you get my point.
The truth is probably in between peoples perception on both ends.
yeah I see that point, sir
just pointing out that a lot of people seriously think that we play teams like New Mexico every week.
we could have had a good 4 team group had San Diego State's quarterback not decided to suck this year, or Air Force's whole defense didn't get injured and if TCU could just play 4 quarters.
Case Keenum threw 7 picks against Air Force when he played them
Kellen Moore only threw one, that was more the reciever's fault.
yeah it sucks that we are married to the perceived success of our conferences. That's why there's a TEAM SEC. It's disgusting but I see why it exists.
So much I love about CFB but also so much that is horrible. I don't really want a playoff that resembles the FCS but at the same time I see the need for something to deal with the crap.
