Plain and simple we need to get better production out of the backfield then last year.

Bring in a guy like Smallwood and I bet he'd replace Hillman before long. Hillman is a guy I don't have beef with on the roster, but I don't want him starting getting a lot of carries. Last year we had to depend on him too much and he failed big time.

We need to get better.

CJ needs to stay healthy and play better too. When CJ played well last year we could beat anyone. (Pats, Packers, Panthers games he brought the boom)

Hopefully what appears to be an improved/healthier OL will help our run game more then anything.

Also don't rule out how important having a more mobile QB will be. Playing under center more and keeping that backside edge defender honest on bootlegs is so important for those zone runs as it creates a higher probability of opening a cutback lane.

Right- I loved Manning and what he did for this team, but I look forward to someone who can escape a hand grab. :)

My problem with Hillman is the guy does not find open field . if he did he would be great one guy in front of him and he runs right at him what the Frick ???????????

Not even close. Moreno was a great pass blocker and he ran very hard. Hit the hole much harder and could break tackles.

I agree not the same. Moreno if he could ever stay healthy was actually a pretty darn good RB. The other issue was his stupid idea to put on like 20 lbs. one off season thinking it would help him to better handle the grind of a season losing his ability to stop and go on a dime like he did in college.

Ok you draft gurus, tell me why Prosise doesn't get more love. Yea I'm a Notre Dame homer but the kid has low miles, a ton of athletic ability, and looks smooth out there

Vision and run blocking. He is a good athlete but he doesn't look natural at RB right now. In a position that often has guys come in and ready to contribute day 1, procise isn't of that mold. While the athletic upside is tremendous, understanding how blocks unfold in front of you and a general feel for the run game separates talented running backs with 'meh' athleticism (justin forsett for example) from busts who have all the athletic ability but aren't effective, like trent richardson.

CJ is a decent athlete, good rec and moves.

He needs more experience at the position. He isn't good at picking up blitzes, is a bit indecisive (common of a RB with not much experience), he also fumbled 5 times this year.

I like Prosise but those reasons are why he isn't up there with the big dogs. He really isn't a "special" backl but he is a good back. Just a lot of backs like him and underdeveloped.

He isn't a back who is ready to come in right from that start and help a team, but he obviously showed a lot of talent. Just not a starter off the bat. More of a rd 4 guy. He is still developing his raw skill as a RB as he just moved there this year. He doesn't hit the hole real hard but lets blocking open up well. Could be good for our system with his patience.

Highlight tapes are the worst way to judge talents, they show splashes for sure. I like doing them to get an idea of ceiling, but if we are going to analyze, use draft breakdown tape. Much better feel for play to play ability

By last year Ronnie Hillman was better in pass protection than Knowshon ever was - IHMO.

I agree, but that being said, last year was his first year as a starter.

Right- IF we played a highlight film of Deltha O'Neal he would look like a hall of famer.

Starter at RB that is. He was a starter at WR previously. NDame used a 3 WR system.
That's true, he also played a little S? I guess he would be a good category for the players that make you go hmmmmmmm. I like him
