I realize the Niners D is short handed ... BUT wtf is going on with your offense ? That's the part that surprises me, they just seem flat on the offensive side... Niners O-line was arguably the best in football last year ... Your O was tough to stop in the playoffs..

The whole offense has gone to shit. Kaep is lost. Wide receivers drop too many balls. O-line is average at best. Our running game isn't good. Perhaps worst of all, our offense looks very, very predictable. I doubt defensive coordinators are losing any sleep while game-planning against us.

Oline has been injuured. Haven't had the same starting core all season. Martin was awful today and he has played the bulk of the season. Starting a rookie center who missed the start of the season himself. Kaepernick has his issues. No deep threat to keep defenses honest but we keep trying to go deep. This just isn't our year. It happens that way sometimes. This team is just decimated on defense right now.

Our longest run play all season is 28 yards and we were averaging 4 yards per carry (rounded up from 3.97) heading into this game. It is what it is. We can't run well and pass even worse. And when that's the case, of course we can't move the ball.

I agree with you on the running game in general. Stacking the box plus the line issues this year has compounded it. I still think they could have run the ball more today. The seemed to be having some success. I hope I never have to see Jonathon Martin playing again. He stinks.

I agree about the running game. There is no reason to fear it at all. They just stack the box. Easy. Simple. Force Kap to throw. Perfect gameplan and even easy to execute. As much as I'd like to believe we lose because the "give up on the run too early" but there just isn't much there. They know we only have the run. Easy to defend against when there is no pass.
