( it looks like we're keeping Ford and Wilson)

That's what I wanted to hear.

I'm sure fans are upset to see Fendi Onobun's departure.

Anybody else worried about our depth at the tackle position? Remember Mills is still a rookie who has looked good against the Raiders and Chargers. Can anyone name a player on either of those D-Lines? And God forbid if Bushrod goes down.

Eben Britton looked worse than Webb in pass protection IMO and Scott is a big question mark.

Anyone know of any possible tackles released who the Bears could snag?

LOL, Jarron Gilbert is still hanging around?

Watch out kids, he's coming back to a town near you. TO JUMP OUT OF ALL OF YOUR LOCAL POOLS!

Tolliver is eligible to be put on the practice squad. Bears hoping he clears waivers and gets put there to develop.

Sorry to see JT Thomas go. I thought he looked pretty good at linebacker for the Bears, albeit with the 3rd and 4th stringers.

Yeah, JT was a good STs guy. Just think his pot incident finally caught up to him.

Jaguars claimed JT Thomas already. That was quick. Incidentally, Bob Babich, former Bears special team coach, is coaching with the Jags. Thomas very good on special teams.

Babich is the D-Coord there, as he had been here.
He was horrible.
Last three or four seasons he was LB coach here.
He was just another example of Lovie's nepotism here.

Any thoughts on his spot on the depth chart? He isn't exactly molded as a ST stud.

I'm thinking it all depends on Earl Bennett's status...whether he is ready to go or not. If he can't, the third receiver is up for grabs and no reason Marquees won't get a shot.

I get the dunce cap of the day award.

I must have had a brain cramp. When I was thinking of special teams coaches, I was thinking of Dave Toub, who is NOT with the Jaguars.

OK, I'm an idiot on this one. Sorry.

Bob Babich WAS absolutely terrible as defensive coordinator. The Jags will love him immensely, I'm guessing.

Probably the 4th WR. I expect Bennet ready for game 1. I didn't see Wilson play any on STs. And if he did he didn't make any plays. Which made me question him making the squad.
But like I said caught everything thrown his way, and had a couple impressive runs after catch.
I'm still used to Lovies way of cutting or keeping players. No way he'd have stuck if Lovie was here.
Love the new regime.

If my math is correct, only 11 players play on special teams. And since one of them is the punter and one of them is the center, that leaves 9. On the flip side, you need 10 on the return team plus Devin Hester.

Not EVERYONE who isn't a starter has to play special teams. I'm not sure where everyone on this forum has that idea. Oh, that's right. Lovie started it.
