Bears and Melton could not agree, just like our congress, on a long term deal. Will play under the franchise tag in 2013.

Good move, because we can't afford to deplete the DL putting all the pressure on Julius Peppers with double team blocking.

Pep still gets doubled. I've seen teams use both running backs to block him. And use the 5 lineman to block the other 3 DL.
As far as Melton , would have loved to see him get a long term contract. My guess is he's w/ Rod in Dallas next year.
