I got a little curious about their rankings and who was rated higher.

Melvin Gordon-Per Rivals a 4 Star rated 24th rb 5* recruits that year included Malcom Brown, James Wilder JR, Brandon Williams, Isaiah Crowell, and Mike Bellamy None of which came close to what Gordon has done. some of the 4* guys ahead of him though were Bishop Sankey, Ka'Deem Carey, Devonta Freeman, and Tre Mason all who are all doing pretty well for themselves.

Amari Cooper- Rivlas 4 Star and rated 6th wr Only 3 5* WR in that class and they were Dorial Green Beckham, Stefon Diggs and Nelson Agholor. the other 4 star guys ahead of him were Thomas Johnson and Cayleb Jones. Green Beckham was coming along but we shall see what happens with his carreer now with the transfer. Diggs was doing alright also until a lacerated kidney ended his season, another wait and see. and Agholor if he decides to stay another year could very well be next years Biletnikoff winner. Johnson, well thats a weird story. and Jones looks to have a solid future with 900 yards in his first year at Arizona after transfering and sitting a year out.

Mariota- Rivals 3 star and 12th dual threat QB. There were no 5* dual threat QB's. rated higher were Braxton Miller, Brett Hundley, and Teddy Bridgewater. Rated slightly behind Mariota at 14 was Johnny Manziel. Also in the group was Evert Golson(16) and Treyvon Boykin(24).
Of 2011 QB in general the class also included Cody Kessler, David Ash, Gary Nova, and Cardale Jones.

Wow thanks for looking this stuff up, pretty interesting

HELL of a QB class aye?

Running backs ahead on Gordon are nothing special although Crowell is doing good in Cleveland

Nice research! Oregon appears to do a great job at development of their players. Also, kind of looks like recruiting *'s are more solid for QB's and WR's than they are for RB's.
