Feels like the longer we wait the more likely McCarthy's options dry up and he may warm up to Jerrah's offer. Could it be all these rumors about Deion, Schotty, etc is the Jones' floating worse candidates out in front of the fan base to make the re-hire of McCarthy look 1000x better than our opinion just three weeks ago? I'm sure he heard all the negative banter when it was reported McCarthy would be back.

I don't know they are worse than McCarthy. McCarthy play design, especially in the red zone stunk. He also threw the ball way too much given the sieves at offensive tackle. A little surprised they have not interviewed Zimmer. There is not much left out there. They probably roll with a guy like Shotty.

The guy that I am surprised the Cowboys didn't look at is Kingsbury. I seem to remember Jerry liking him a few years back. A guy that I'm surprised never gets any run is Spagnuolo. That fucker is a defensive demon. Of the guys left that have had run around the league, Saleh and Brian Flores but I think they have the wrong skin time for Jerry to consider

Schottenheimer is smart as Hell. It is a strange, uninspired hire, but most of Jerry's best moves have been blind luck. Maybe this will be one

I've decided to go with my original thoughts from when he was first hired of being happy he was coming here and that he was a good offensive mind to add to the room and that McCarthy was the one 100% in charge and he did all he could to help but that there was only so much he could do while the team ran McCarthy's Offense and McCarthy was the play caller. But even going with that positive spin, how many times during the season did you hear his name mentioned? Did you even find yourself forgetting he was the OC? It was like he was the invisible man. I don't really remember any of the players ever talking about him.
