Why can't they just do the normal streaming service thing and go with "+" or "Plus" at the end? Hulu+, Disney+, Paramount+, I mean just do HBO+ and get over it.

Max is changing it's name back to HBO Max

So

HBO Max was an additional charge when I had ATT Uverse, but there were 2 ways to access it. It was available as Uverse channels that were unblocked when you paid for them. But there's also the HBO MAX app. When I dropped Uverse they didn't disable my access via the app. So I had it for free for > 2 years streaming via tha app.

Ok. If you got it through a “bank error in your favor”, sure. But if you are getting something that is included in a package you are paying for, you are paying for it.

WTF?

He said he got it through his ATT. Not that they forgot to turn it off from his canceled subscription. He clarified after the fact. But if he was just getting a tack-on perk from a subscription that he was still actively paying for, than the inclusion of HBO was built into the price he was paying.
