I don't understand how they group DC and Looney Tunes as "brands" when all the other brands in the category as stand alone TV channels. It makes way more sense for them to be in the Franchise category.

Warner Bros. Discovery shares were battered Friday on the heels of its after-market second-quarter earnings report on Thursday that revealed the depth of the financial and operational pressures that the newly enlarged conglomerate is facing.

WB Discovery shares were down more than 17% at midday to the $14.50 range. The valuation of the company has plummeted in the four months since Discovery completed its spinoff transaction with AT&T.

On Thursday, WB Discovery posted a loss of $3.4 billion that included a $1 billion write-down for restructuring charges and the new regime’s evaluation of some of the content on that was left for them on the shelf at what was WarnerMedia during the AT&T regime.

How many streaming services are out there now, slicing the pie into thinner and thinner pieces? I don't care about superhero movies or cartoons. Star Trek and Star Wars have worn out their welcome. I will watch hockey, but most other sports have gotten to be the playgrounds of prima donnas.

I doubt it... theaters are still behind what they were pre-covid... and even then it was a dying venue... these streaming movie sites have spoiled us all...

45 days after movie dropped was awesome... but that was obviously not going to last... but I doubt that it would go back to what it was... I can see 90 days... anything past that is probably not smart...

I don’t even know what’s on Discovery+, it’s that uncared for by 100% of people I know.

For $7 a month I’ve been OK with it. But I get HBO Max for free with my DirecTV account. So the obvious question is…
