The Flyers streak came in the 79-80 season and until the 1983–84 season all regular-season games tied after 60 minutes of play ended as ties. So there were no OT games back then.

They haven't lost in overtime since before their last loss in regulation last year. I love that the Flyers still have the streak, but damn if Chicago isn't impressive as hell this year.

Meh, they got to play all worst conference teams. If they played in the beast the streak wouldn't have happened.....FACT!!!!!!!

:agree:

Oh, I don't know, I think hockey has a lot of parity. It's impressive that they strung together that many games with points in a row. In the NHL, any given team can beat another if the second doesn't show up, regardless of who has the better record. Case in point: today the Flyers will beat the Bruins, despite having a worse record!

Look at the Sabres and Bruins, Bostons first two regulation loses this year were to the Sabres. Go figure, but sometime some teams just play well against others even though the standings wouldn't indicate that.

Are we allowed to laugh at Chicago yet, or should we wait until someone gets within 10 points of them

Also of note, when I typed "laugh at" on my playbook, it suggested the next word be "edmonton". :)

Down 4-0 after the 1st, and are now only losing by 1 goal halfway through the 3rd.

They found that gear.....

Nope, the Hawks can't complete the comeback, and lose in Regulation 6-5.

Their Season is now over.

What streak ??? :think::think:

Only one streak in the NHL worth talking about right now...

We have a guy here who is from Chicago, so I was just talking to him and really playing up the Jackets. "Longest winning streak in the NHL. BY FAR. And they managed to beat that powerhouse Edmonton team."

He was not amused.
