I'm trying to remember if I have..........I can't really recall a game in my lifetime where a QB made so many dumb decisions, was completely the reason why we almost lost the game, and ended up completely being the reason that we won the game.

All 3 interceptions were awful.........just awful. Not only were they bad passes, but they came at the worst possible times. Then you have the 7 yard shovel pass into traffic late in the 4th quarter.........which turned out okay, but good grief that was ridiculous.

He killed us. Just absolutely killed our chances of winning that game.

But then he ran for 205 yards and 2 TDs on the ground, and put together 2 more game winning drives late in the 4th quarter........

I'm glad he's not as nervous as I am late in the game.......I can tell you that much. If he was as nervous as I am, he'd never try that shovel pass.......and he'd throw even more INT's........and he'd never put together game winning drives.

What to make of Taylor Martinez??? :popsnoidea:

Pretty unique QB.

That shovel pass was Brett Favre-esque.

He's the most exciting player in college football right now IMO.

Deserves the heisman. Fuck collin klein and Man tie gay bro

I stopped faulting Martinez for his poor performance at times. It's been no mystery for 2.5 years now that he makes bad decisions, lacks arm strength and is inacurate on the run.

I credit him for overcoming an OC that's damned determined to make him something he's not.

Martinez is no more the drop back/pocket/prototypical QB than were Gill, Frazier, Frost or Crouch. You didn't see Osborne trying to force the issue. He ran, ran, ran and only threw it when he had to. Osborne punted to live another day as opposed to giving the short field.

I like Becks offense. I understand he's got a great corps of receivers he wants to use, but he needs to think about risk/reward more.

I tell ya what though RA, if it wasn't for the LEGITIMATE threat of the pass, that play would not have happened. You had guys running back into coverage, scared of the deep ball and it gave taylor a ridiculous amount of open field to run in.

I guess I'm just old school conservative.

I remember Osborne saying that he couldn't understand why Devaney used to keep a thumb on him when he was OC. He wanted to pass more, but Devaney wouldn't let him.

He only understood it when he himself became a head coach. You take less risks because you ulimately have to answer for it if things go wrong.

I'm quite surprised Bo hasn't put the reigns on Beck here recently with the history of turnovers.

Taylor should also take off more often than he does. I've spent many a game yelling at the tv.... RUN IT TAYLOR, JUST RUN!!!!

I tell ye guise what........I didn't want to say it, but Taylor really reminded me a lot of Eric Crouch in that game yesterday.

Those runs he was busting off were just sickening. It was like watching 2001 all over again.
