Cover 2 Causing Redskins Defense Troubles in the Red Zone - Hail 22

here is another problem with the cover 2 . he keeps having riley matching up with guys he cant . why ?

try robinson in those situations .

again we are being out schemed here

i am told we have a better defense . the last 2 games we certainly havent shown it . and it has to do with the DC not using his pieces to the best advantage

We had this exact thread over on KFFL. Haslett gets outcoached, out schemed, and he rarely uses all his players in the best possible way. Hail 22 shows how bad Riley is in pass coverage. He's flat footed on play action, and when he does turn to cover, he sucks at picking up the ball and making a play on it.

Haslett has to go. This collapse cannot be blamed all on injuries, we've seen this all before.

The D has been incredibly frustrating. After tonight's game, if Haz doesn't change it up, I think the writing will be on wall in terms of his tenure in DC. I'm done giving him chances.

If Biggers, Riley, and Merriweather are in the game at the same time, and none of them blitz, leaving them all in coverage, Hazlett should be fired on the spot.

I'm not sure some random blogger is qualified to break down film. With that said there should be no question that Hazmat is killing us. But since he is tight with Gruden I"m worried.

KFFL? Dead to me. I can't take Skinswin! anymore.

Just a bit of background if you are not familiar with Mark Bullock. I actually love his analysis.

Mark Bullock who is behind the website, Hail 22 is not a random blogger. Nor is he a rah rah redskin fan. He always presents the good and bad from Skins play. He gives objective film analysis and is a frequent contributer at Hogs Haven and is followed by many because of his insight and detailed film breakdowns.

But what are his qualifications? That's all I'm wondering. I'm firmly in the camp that believes the majority of the press don't really know. They think they know but they don't really understand as a coach who has been doing this all his life and spends 100 hours a week studying film does.

Again not a defense of Haslett, just stating an opinion shared by most every coach I've ever heard talk on the subject.

Not trying to be difficult here, and again he may be totally right. But I just use caution in taking his word as gospel. A scout is not a coach.

Well it happen again to night, if that's what you are referring to and it was on 3rd and long. Pass complete to the TE for a first down. The Def looked okay tonight in the 2nd half but don't be fooled. Seattle does have any good WR'S Just wait the best is yet to come.

Does anyone still believe it was a good idea to keep Haslett?

Jay Gruden maybe?

I mean seriously, if Haslett sticks around after this season, I give up!

From Ron Lynn, to Mike Nolan to Ray Rhodes, Marvin Lewis, Kurt Schottenheimer, George Edwards, GWilliams, Greg Blache, now Haslett for FIVE FUCKING YEARS....

Why can't we get this thing right?

Gruden and Haslett are boys. Keep that in mind as you approach the ledge.

Here's what temporarily sold the fan base:

1. Acquisition of R. Clark and J. Hatcher

2. Retirement of L. Fletcher

3. Setting the dogs loose up front

4. Return of B. Meriweather

5. Better schemes*

To the off season apologists.............How's that working out for you?
