I'm honestly surprised Oklahoma fans even mention 2 of those considering 1 of them came against Dennis Franchione and the other came against Shula in his first year and you barely won that game, despite Oklahoma being #1/2 at the time while Alabama was on probation. The whole Mike Price thing happened between the 2 games.

I wouldn't consider 2 of them big deals if the stats were reversed. The Sugar Bowl win is the only one I'd mention, since it came at a time when both teams were good.

LOL. That just puts it all in a nut shell. The requirements to get into Stanford are on a whole other level than what a player has to have to get into Alabama even for football players . The fact that Alabama gives their players the grades to be academic all Americans at a higher rate than Stanford players is a Complete joke. Duke , Vanderbuilt maybe but Alabama? LOL. Thats a joke. Yes they get the top 25 in the country every year but those kids aren't hitting the books enough to be great students. They must give you an A for classes at Bama if you can spell Saban

The problem with this metric is a lot of them are from other sports and presumably most other sports outside of football and basketball are more loaded with real students that happen to play sports vs kids being pulled in at all costs to win sports and pretend to be students.

And I couldn't care less about the quality of education for football players so I'm not arguing about anything related to it.
