He has been a non factor so far in the playoffs. No goals and two assist. Was this a good move by the Rangers?

Lots of money for that production.

Doesn't surprise me in the least bit. He was a point per game player only once in his career. 7.8M a year cap hit. No thanks...

Anisimov, Dubinski and Erixon. This move looks better every day. :D

Don't forget the 1st round pick.

But I thought you were going to go with the Nash for Bouwmeester? :noidea:

Lots of talk that Kekeleinen has already talked to the teams drafting 6th through 9th. If it looks like one guy they want will be there he might offer up two of the 1st rounders he has for it.

Yes. He is welcome to come back and take the opposite wing with Johansen and Gaborik.

I would be just fine with that.

I've always thought that Nash was a complementary player on the right team. I think he's one of the best, if not THE best, second fiddle out there. I just don't think he has what it takes to lead a team or even be its best player. He's been fine for the Rangers but he's just not an $8 M player.

He's signed to that deal because that's what the BJs needed at the time. He's a fantastic player but just not of the franchise variety, IMO.

He's in unfamiliar territory being in the POs and not getting swept out by the Red Wings.

Give him a bit of time to adjust and he'll be OK.

Point production isn't everything either. I didn't get to watch much of the Caps series, but guys like him often are able to free up space for other players on the ice by drawing attention away.

Seeing as how the Devils don't have a 1st rounder next year I could absolutely see Lou making a move like that.

9th might be too late for (who is rumored to be) their guy.

Actually knowing Calgary's need, we might have to deal for fifth with Carolina to be sure.

I am hoping for Lindholm and Wennberg. With RyJo That gives three solid centers and three more centers who can play wing (Dubie, Anisimov and Letestu). Deal the Rags and Kings picks to move up and keep their 14th. Might be doable.

Gotta be Joey. Insufficient evidence for the other one.

Joey DOES have an impressively large body of (failed) playoff work , its true, but it really looks like Ricki is trying hard to surpass him...only time will tell...but since he's a rag now I'm kinda hoping his failures reach the epic level

Remember, they are best friends since the last lockout. So Rick's advanced failure comes under the excellent tutelage of the master. The question is, can he sustain it?

Great point...clearly Joey Thornton is the YODA of playoff failure....can Ricki Nash become the Luke Skywalker?
