Uh-oh!!!!!! Hip....ugh!
I'm reading the comments section on ESPN and Viking fans and 49er fans are rejoicing over the injury calling it Seattle karma
really though?
But in regards to the actual injury...I hope this only results in him missing some pre-season games...at the most 6 games in the regular season
Ahh...losing Irvin AND Percy for the first part of the year...that's going to be a lot to overcome especially if we want home field advantage...
I can't speak for all 9ers fans...just myself. I personally would let go of ESPN and comments made there. No real fan of this game would be happy of any player injuries. As a fan of the game and a division rival ,we want your 'A' game with no excuses that can be used. Wishing Percy a speedy recovery.
If Harvin isn't available to us, the prognoticator's are going to downgrade us some, as he seems to be the X Factor in a lot of their speculations. Be fun to beat the Niner's without him.....like we did last year. Perhaps a good opportunity for Tate to elevate his game in a contract year.
Well I'm not a doctor so can anyone tell me how bad this is? I know its not as bad as an acl tear which is months if not the year. But a tear of the hip bone, means? are we looking at a few weeks with surgery, meaning he'd be ready week 3 or 4 of the preseason (not necessary put into the game but could play) . Or is this something he could play though, just going to hurt this season if he didn't get the surgery. And dose being put on the pup mean he can't play until week 6 or am I thinking of something else?
Thanks
According to the reports today that is untrue. If they are on the PUP going into camp the restriction isn't there. They can return at any time. If they go on the list after camp starts there are restrictions. It is my understanding he was on the list prior to the official start of camp so he can return any time.10-16 weeks is what I'm hearing and it that depends on a variety of factors if he has the surgery.
The team apparently wants him to play through it but that all is going to come down to what the doctors say.
If he's put on the PUP he has to be out until week 6 and can't return before.
I think the larger issue for Seattle is Harvin is if he's going to be a durability concern the rest of the contract. Especially playing in the NFC West where he's going to take a beating from seeing the 9ers, Rams, and Cards defense twice a year.
