SIX years??? isn't he in his 30's already?
his style of game doesn't seem like it would translate well with age (ala Jason Allison)

sorry tox.

@AnthonySan37
I'm hearing the cap hit for Hartnell is $5.5 million per, so if my math is right, that would make it a $33 million deal

i'm seeing 5.5 thrown around

.. i dont like it ..

if 2011-12 hartnell, or even 80% of that hartnell, shows up every year, i'm good with it.. but the threat of 2010-11 hartnell (20ish goals, a million and a half PIMs) is still out there

@DaveLozo
The Flyers have nine players signed through 2015-16; the Ducks have zero.

Oh well, if it doesn't work out, Holmgren can always trade him to Columbus for Ryan Johansen...

43 would kill Howson just in time.....to watch the ink dry. Then he'd kill him again until he died from it.

Scott Hartnell: I would like to thank Claude Giroux for helping me sign this extension with Philly.

Not necessarily. If the extensions have NTC's the team is stuck with them.

not if you trade them before their NTC kicks in (see: carter, jeff)

i was just making a joke at homer's expense.. trading players before stuff kicks in

tpatch is reporting 6 years 28.5m or an AAV or 4.75m.

If that's the deal I really like it, his cap hit doesn't go up that much and he will more then likely keep up with last years production and only gets a little raise in exchange for years.
