If Cooper is a Bronco for life - he is ROF material.Wish jerseys cost the same amount of money as the players jersey number.
Bolles has it figured . spend on him . he deserves a chance at winning with this team as well as Justin does Bring him back IMO as well . we need some vets .
Obviously, if Bolles is reasonable - the Broncos will re-sign him. Three years max - no guaranteed money after year 2.
You have to pay the market rate - while you hope you can get a hometown discount, or you expose your young QB to greater possibilities of injury. The Bronco's though have a secret weapon in that they have ownership with full moneybags. The use of bonus money can make these deals sweet. So, you pay him $25 million bonus and two years at $15 million each - and then a bunch of meaningless years behind that to lessen the salary cap impact. So Bolles get $20 million a year in the first two years guaranteed and maybe another $5 million guaranteed to year three - with the salary still pegged at $15 million. The big question though is what is considered reasonable? The 5th highest paid LT is making $22 million. My guess is negotiations start at that number for him as he could get that easily on the open market and probably more. I wouldn't be shocked if he got $25 million per year from another team.

There are all kinds of ways to manipulate the cap with bonus money if you have cash. They can definitely do a lot of that. I do worry about them getting too many contracts on the books with those void years added to contracts leading to some dead money issues down the road. I just don't want to turn into the Saints where we are $80 million over the salary cap and having to work magic every offseason to get our cap situation under control.
Aggressive but smart about it should be where the Broncos live. You've got a lot of years with Bo Nix possibly at the helm so don't need to completely sell out now like the Saints tried to at the end of Brees' c
