Quickly becoming one of my favorite Broncos. Much deserved after being a 7th round steal. 4 years 60 mil.

Good to have him, Surtain and Meinerz all locked up.

My guess is Baron Browning is not high on the re-sign radar for us right now with Bonitto a FA the year after and Brownig struggling with injuries and honestly for the first time in his career whe healthy hasn't been impactful.

I got you.

Also, always a good sign when key free agents are locking in before FA. Reminds me of the Manning days where guys were re-signing before they hit FA.

Last 7 years or so people wanted out of here. A good sign that things are getting better. Cooper, Surtain and Meinerz all re-signed before they hit the open market.

Only $33 of the $60 guaranteed so curious to see the structure. That makes me feel pretty good about this signing as while Cooper has been very good, he isn't a true game wrecker and this contract lines up with that IMO.

I don't know about "game wrecker" but Cooper has consistently been 1 or 2 in QB pressures and QB hits in the NFL this season. This contract is a huge hometown discount from Cooper. Edge rushers with Cooper's stats are getting much bigger contract.

Yes!!!!!

Cooper is the most underrated player on the Broncos roster.

He isn’t elite but he isn’t paid elite pass rusher money. He is more then solid.

Love this signing. Means a lot for guys that were not drafted by Payton to be getting these kind of contracts. It isn't just the elite guys like Surtain and Meinerz but they see the value in the next tier of guys sticking around.

Honestly think this is a fair deal for both sides. Doesn't stop the Broncos from drafting an edge guy in the next draft or two early on, but also doesn't make the Broncos panic and have to reach for a guy.

I'll be very interested what happens now with Bolles and Bonitto moving forward. Bolles to me is the guy that changes the entire offseason and what the Broncos try to do. If you re-sign him then draft is wide open. Don't re-sign him and we could see the Broncos reaching/trading up to secure their guy.

He wants to play for us and stated he don't wat to leave . some have stated he is open to a hometown deal.

i think P squared has a nice ying yang going
the draft is so much easier when u have your QB.
brock bowers is wasting away in vegas without a QB. Raiders would have been better if accepting a trade down.
NYG pushed all their chips in with DJ and now Nabors is in the same position.

Bolles is key in the offseason. If you lose him you need a 1st round tackle although there may be some decent free agent LT's, but I would prefer having Bolles back as having same starters year to year is a good thing.

QB obviously is the biggest position to get figured out. No surprise that all the top teams and coaches considered best in the league have a QB that looks like the long-term solution.

Now that doesn't mean you take a guy just to take a guy, but I would struggle to take a position that is so dependent on QB play knowing good chance by the time you get your QB position figured out that skill position player will most likely be up for a 2nd contract and you might not know what you have in them.

I do think even without great QB play that Nabers and Bowers are proving to be the real deal but sucks to see such talent wasted in bad situations.

I'd be okay with a 2 year deal for Bolles and drafting a LT early if the situation presented itself.

The other option I could see for LT is the Broncos giving McGlinchey a chance at LT. He played some at the position in college and did fine. Giving him an entire offseason to do it I would be interested to see how he could do. Then Palcweski, Crum, and others could compete for the RT spot.

I get what you are saying, but McGlinchey isn't good at pass pro on the right, no way I would move him to the blind side.
