Is it possible that he can hit enough to be able to take over the starting SS position? I realize it would take a lot of hitting for a guy with no power and doesn't draw walks, but is that any worse than Barmes who can't seem to do anything except draw a paycheck.

I doubt it, I missed the series this weekend, but every other time he's played short, I never see him actually field a ground ball.

Yep he doesnt look good at short imho, and if our scouts thought he could play short stop he would have been doing it in the minors.
