Harrison to get Snaps at Back Up DE

I think this is a great move....Sub him for Dunlap and Mike Johnson....Therefor he stays on the field on 3rd down with only 14 plays the other night. In nickel when we have Rey and Burfict or Mays and Burfict out there we sub him at DE with the Dline......We need to contain and get pressure on Rodgers...Atkins has to have the game of his life coming up the middle to prevent Rodgers from stepping up....

Yeah. I haven't gotten why he can't at least rush the passer in a nickle formation.

Most teams are going to employ a 3 WR set, or with a good TE, so the nickle is basically going to become the base defense of most teams. That means Harrison is going to be in for about 10 plays a game, unless you can find a way to get him in at Nickle and have him rush the passer from the LB spot.

I'd rather take the time to try to develop Hunt (if he is even dressing), more so than give Harrison those snaps at backup DE.

If Harrison gives you the best chance to win, you have to do it. The AFC looks down this year (with Denver being the exception)..... This might be the best chance in years for an average team to make it to the Super Bowl.

I think you could see Hunt doing a lot of what Geathers would do on obvious passing downs, which is slide inside. The guy is freaking huge, and strong. Only having to worry about getting up the gut on a rush will limit the chance for an error in assignment.

You won't see Harrison linging up at DT on a passing down, so he'll still rotate through at DE
