this is sooo stupid.
Why do this so far in advance? What if he shreds a knee a la Shawn Livingston in the next year or two?
As guys get more contracts like this while other vets are forced to take scraps, the player's union will be forced to change things in the next negotiations.
I wonder if they're trying to sell other players on coming to Houston. Or maybe Harden wanted to get paid before Chris Paul extends next year?

Lot of money for a guy that doesn't appear to have a competitive bone in his body.
These contracts will be handed out much more frequently with the new CBA. Say what you want about Harden but he carried Houston to the WCF and 2nd round in 2 of the last 3 years with a pretty avg roster at best.
And when it mattered he took 2 shots in an entire half and headed to the strip club.

Yet Lebron still thinks players are getting underpaid
The superstars are indeed underpaid due to max contracts.
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I can't live on 30+ million a year.....waaaaaaaaaaaah
Waaaaaaaah I'm a poor billionaire owner, how can I afford to pay my players? Lockout!!
still players crying like babies is pathetic
