How is having a DH related to a squeeze play? There is nothing that requires you to only run that play if you have a shitty hitting pitcher is there? :noidea: That's more team philosophy. I've seen it now and then in AL games.

You aren't going to convince people who like the DH that your brand of baseball is better. It may be more interesting/better for you, but that's not a universal thing. And I'm not suggesting the DH is better either. Just don't give shitty excuses for why it should be the only way in MLB and I'm fine.
I missed the post where someone was proposing to eliminate the DH from the AL. Maybe it was buried in all the posts saying it should be implimented in the NL, and I just missed it, though.

Because lazy entitlement-mentality Tee-baller American League types demand more home runs

I can say without hesitation -- It has nothing to do with 'more home runs' for me and more to do with having to watch someone who doesn't have the skill set to be a professional hitter and forcing him to bat.

It is an archaic rule used from the inception of the game, when players had to work real jobs to make a living. Baseball was a past time back then, not a multi-billion dollar business. Teams are paying these players 8 and 9 figure contracts to pitch, it has nothing to do with their bat. It is the same for those in the field and why you don't see them picking up the ball to pitch.

If the NL fans so against the DH are the purists they think they are. Get rid of instant replay and take the umpires call as gold. Better yet -- go back to using 1 umpire, because that is how the game was played when it started. Get rid of your bullpen. Get rid of your left handed specialist, your long reliever, your closer, your 8th inning set up man and tell your starting pitchers they will be pitching complete games from here on out.

You can go on and on with all the changes that have been made over the years. The MLB is big business now and putting unnecessary risk on 8 and 9 figure investments is useless. The vast overwhelming majority of pitchers are doing nothing but embarrassing themselves at the plate (they have hit as a group roughly .130 over the last 3) -- that isn't baseball, that is a joke.

Ah, I wasn't aware you have only ever read a discussion on this topic on this thread. Perhaps a bit more reading elsewhere would enlighten you.

Back to the 50 foot pitching distance, pitches delivered with stiff wrist, 9 balls for a walk, batter can request a high or low pitch, soak the runner with the ball for an out, and no gloves!!!

Yes! Now I must hop astride my gigantic front-wheeled bike and pedal to the coast for a refreshing spa in my striped, one-piece bathing tunic. Could you please hold my straw-boater until I am mounted? I'd rather not use this infernal bicycle (pardon my language!), but Street-car fares have climbed to 5 cents

Do you also hate Anchovies?

I think anchovies are disgusting. I think Brussels sprouts and black olives are gross as well.

I'll eat spinach and cabbage raw, but if you cook it I'll puke all over it.

If it has the word "casserole" at the end of the title you can feed it to the dog cuz I ain't eating it.

I have grown to love brussel sprouts. I think I formed my previous opinion on undercooked sprouts. I marinate and roast the fuck out of them now. Delicious.

I used to hate broccoli, but now it is a favorite as long as it is steamed and crisp.

I'd like to add cauliflower to my shit list along with canned peas. Blecchhh!

Never been big on cauliflower, but my GF baked some and put parm cheese and then drizzled Frank's Hot sauce on top. We ate them like hot wings with blue cheese dressing dipping sauce. They were a big hit at the party we were at.
