bumgarner, .162 average, about a .450 OPS

about the norm for a pitcher trying to hit.

2014 was such an anomaly for him. .380 OPS going into last year, and his .755 really inflated that.

Why stop at one? Most catchers, second basemen and shortstops don't hit worth a damn either. Since you're hell-bent on bastardizing what was already a perfect game, why not go all out and have separate offensive and defensive players? It will have the added side-benefit of never having to watch guys like Michael Morse or Allen Craig try to play defense again.
