What is unfiltered about telling a coach to worry about his own team?

Here is the downside. This is a very sketchy move and there is a high chance an infraction of NCAA rules can happen. The last thing you want is to gloat and piss other coaches off, while skirting the rules. Remember a lot of NCAA cases happen, because of other coaches and programs. Just ask Oregon and Bama about that. Its best to do what you do in the dark.

Like what?
Like dancing "the wobble" on video for a recruit. Like taking a picture "dabbing" with a recruit. Like playong pop a shot basketball with a recruit.
All these coaches act like idiots to get recruits. They are grown men, trying to relate to teenage kids. That is why I laugh at any fan base commenting as if their coach isn't part of that.
The ONLY reason Harbaugh is in the spotlight now is because he is the newest big hire, until the next big hire comes along. Then it will be their turn

Codaxx -- you realize everything in the trip was scheduled and given to the NCAA to OK before anything moved forward.
Keeping things in the dark is what schools do when they are breaking rules. Nothing Harbaugh has done is breaking a rule. The school also has an NCAA compliance department member travel with the team to make sure nothing happens (the same thing they did with the Sattelite camps)

that is ridiculous. Coach messing around with a player in a photo is just part of being a human being. Completely different than setting up practices at one of the biggest recruit producing high schools in the country during a quiet period.

You do realize that if 1 IMG kid walks over and a coach says hello it is NCAA violation

There's a difference between doing impromptu things like those on the spot and doing shit like planning a sleepover with a recruit or doing all the other shit he does. You guys just can't seem to understand, so why bother?

Yes. Which is why practices are closed to everyone with the exception of today, which is open to the public.
AND as I said -- there is a compliance department member on the trip, whose only job is to make sure every rule is followed to the T.

Just remember it is at a FSU feeder school, so even the smallest thing can lead to big issues. That is why other coaches commented on it. Harbaugh is asking to get sanctioned.

What YOU GUYS don't seem to understand is -- these coaches are ancient in the eyes of these kids. When you are 17 and 18 years old, you think 30 is really old. These coaches are 40, 50, 60+ years old trying to build a relationship with kids who speak a completely different language. So they resort to doing dumb shit. All of the coaches do. You think it was impromptu to dance the wobble with a recruit or dabbing with a recruit? It is about an impromptu as Harbaugh being on Twitter and sending out all these messages. He is on it for the recruits. Guess who wasn't on Twitter when he was at SF? In college, you have to try and relate to these kids.

IMG is a feeder school for every big program. Tennessee offered TWENTY players in one day at IMG the other day. And the only coach who commended Harbaugh on his trip to IMG is Jimbo Fisher.

Check out who runs it. Jimbo knows his interests at IMG are looked out for.

I didn't see Urban doing anything remotely similar to Harbaugh and he had a better class. Also, I don't think you speak for the entire generation of 17-18 year old young men. You may not know this, but many of them don't think of the coaches as "ancient", because they're smart enough to see the accomplishments of these coaches and have enough respect to not care about them being older than 30, 40, 50, 60.

Yes, what Saban did was impromptu. Those aren't things you have to plan to do, you just do them when the time calls for it. There's a reason that no other coaches are in the news for being clowns on a weekly basis. Do you think that's some sort of coincidence or something?

He may want to talk to those people. They had 3 top 50 recruits last year. One went to Ole Miss, one went to Georgia and one went to LSU. If they were looking out for his instance and were a feeder program. I'm thinking he would want all three.

It is cute how you seem to forget you live in a hot bed states for recruits and don't have another college to compete against. 9 players in OSU'S class were from Ohio. 3 of Michigan's were from Michigan and one was a kicker.
When you don't have the luxury of a state that pumps out elite talent on a yearly basis. You have to go elsewhere.
It also helps Urban having built relationships in Florida where he was a head coach for many years. It is why Harbaugh was so successful in California.

Wienke joined in 2015. FSU has close ties. Like I said Jimbo's interest will be looked after. Does not mean he will get every recruit, but it is a very FSU friendly school. 1 that a competing school should be careful not to screw up at.

But Urban isnt setting up practices at DeLa Salle during the quiet period to try to get into the California mkt. Its one thing to use your advantages, its another to press the rules. This is straight up scumbaggary. There is not a dirtier school than Michigan in the land right now from all appearances. That is a bit sad to me, because I always thought they were one of the schools that would help clean up recruiting.

So HarbeeHarHarbaulls is too pussy to go after the original tweeter, or the 2nd tweeter, his in-state rival, but picks on the 3rd guy. Sounds about right.

Yep. Every recruit in Texas goes to Texas. That's just a fact!
