Just can't figure out Jon Edwards. Has good stuff, leads PCL in saves but put him in big situations and he turns to garbage like pitching at the MLB level and in tonight's All Star game. Comes in with a 3-1 lead in the 9th and walks the first guy on 4 pitches, hits the 2nd, base hit to 3rd, strikes out the 4th on full count pitch then gives up 2 run single and is yanked.

He's a RHed Kirkman

It appears the Braves are about to sign Jason Frasor.

Makes sense for us to move Wandy and Corpy. Frees us slots.

If they could get anything much at all for Corpy that would seem like a miracle. I like the line about Hamels that says, "If we were going to do that trade, we would have already done it by now.” Yet, Rosenthal still thinks it is a possibility.

Well, catcher depth is usually in demand. We need to position ourselves for upcoming roster move with Dutch. Would not be surprised if we add a waiver wire and then try to slip him through when we add Dutch if we lose Wandy. Also have 60 man DL spots that have to be accounted for. All about the positioning

Recently drafted Ledarious Clark just endured an 0 for 18 streak and yet his slash line is still .370/.435/.620. after a good night last night.

I think we will trade Gallardo unless we make up some ground over the next week to 10 days.

Nick Martinez left tonight's game at OKC after having only thrown 35 pitches through 2 innings. I hope he is just on a very restricted pitch count and didn't get hurt. He didn't have very good results, but nothing that should have caused him to leave after only 2 innings.

Martinez's (0-0, 4.50) night ended after 2.0 innings of work with four hits, two runs (two earned), one walk and one K as fellow righty Ross Wolf came in for relief. Wolf began his night with back-to-back ground outs before CF Chris Heisey took him to right field with a single. Wolf immediately recovered and ended the third on a fly out.

No mention here in the writeup, of injury? Maybe they are just easing him back in

So what does he bring in a trade? If you trade him do you try and re-sign him as a FA? If you don't trade him and he leaves in FA, you receive a draft pick correct?

Guess some questions might be answered only after we see what Holland, and or Perez may, or may not be back to, when they return huh?

From what I am reading he would bring back more than the worth of the compensation pick.

I wouldn't go after him in free agency as I think he gets a 4 or 5 year deal for about $16-18 million per year.

I am pretty sure he went 4 innings and threw almost 50 pitches in his last outing in AAA.

Round Rock Thrashes Oklahoma City in First Game Back, 9-3

That was the title of the article, I wasn't sure when he had last pitched. Thought maybe he was making the start on extended rest and just getting him a couple innings to get back going

I sort of figured a trade would possibly net you more, but I guess it is all dependent on where he went and the spot the pick they would be giving up. Sure the pick would be a very young prospect but you are probably not going to get a team's top prospects for Yoga anyway and we all know, nobody knows how prospects will pan out. Look what the M's got for Cliff Lee?

I think we should make an honest assessment and make an offer. We are not going to give up the farm for Hamels. Yo has better topside than Chi Chi. I doubt we offer 5 years and not sure others do. Maybe mutual option at 4 years. Cruz held out and look where that got him. But yes I think we would get better than the comp pick in a trade
