Before the game it was mentioned that Banister is trying to protect him as much as he can, and see if hitting in front of Prince/MM would get him some better pitches, at least to see some better ones.

Problem is, it doesn't seem to matter if the pitcher is throwing well or making mistakes, Choo is unable to capitalize regardless.

I hear ya. But I don't see it happening just yet.

If Rua were healthy and playing just OK, I'd be more inclined to agree. With Josh being day-to-day for the rest of his life, Rua not ready to be here, and Martin being little more than a late inning replacement player, there's not that many even decent options.

But we definitely need to move him outta the 2 spot.

This team is headed down the tubes the rest of the season unless some changes are made. We've got to get Rua going and dump Choo. I still think Magadan needs to go. Even when they were scoring runs I knew it wasn't sustainable because they relied way too heavily on home runs and still struck out way too often, and I said as much multiple times.

Ya know, other than taking that first, absolutely beautiful, first strike, he really looked solid in the AB. Right up until he didn't that is.
