The quiet signing that has been lost in Grioux's extension and now Emery's return is that the Flyers resigned Adam Hall.

59% on faceoffs, dedicated NHL checking forward and under $700k.

He wont score (maybe not at all), but he plays his minutes hard and wins Face offs. Gotta love it.

With Hall as 4th line center do they make Laughton 3rd line center and move Coots or Schenn for Ryan to play on G's wing? The whole thing scares me.

I expect Hall to play mostly on the wing like he did last year. Nice depth player, but will probably find himself in the press box come playoff time. To win the Cup you need to be rolling 4 lines who can all chip in goals.

As to Scuderi, I expect that they'll move someone. Probably Paul Martin. They have about 600k of cap space an only have 11 forwards under contract.

Never bad to have a few guys on the 4th line who can take draws and Hall's very good. If Laughton sticks I can see him on the 3rd line from time to time with Talbot dropping down to the 4th. Its a long season and injuries will happen so you need the bodies.

Killer line but I can also see Simmonds on the top line and Harts moving to 2nd.....
