I just chuckle at the thought of holding an OC responsible for a playoff loss when he is directly responsible for the play calling that resulted in them being ranked so high in scoring. I mean, they put up 42 against a damn good defense last week but yet, Haley gets criticized.

His play calling sucked. You knew what he was going to run as some as they lined up......

Come on, anyone would of had success with the talent on that offense.....his problem was he couldn't utilize that talent to get the job done.

IMO, the Shit with Haley cut deep on the whole offense......
There were several instances where Haley would scream at Ben on the sidelines.....one time because Ben didn't like the play called and didn't like what he saw from the defense, so he called a time out. On national tv Haley was seen screaming at Ben for this. Now if I'm a lineman, my job is protecting Ben, so that's pissing me off. If I'm one of the play makers on the team, I'm pissed because they also know the play called sucks. If I'm anyone on the field I'm pissed, because I know the QB, The Field General, Big Ben is not allowed to change the play and possibly call a play that will work.

Haley was a control freak and an asshole.....he had absolutely no on field football experience and to show no faith in a veteran QB is just stupid....and pretty much sums up Haley. Plain and simple, just stupid.

I think Haley was an average to above average offensive coordinator and a below average play caller probably better suited to a young unit that needs constant and direct management. He wasn't the problem but he wasn't good enough and his job to overcome the fact that nobody in the building much liked him, especially the quarterback and face of the franchise.

Yep. And I have a lot of criticism of Tomlin here. He enforces no discipline on the team. And he has Al Davis-itis. Gets too enamored with speed for the draft, and doesn't care about smarts and proven productivity (Jarvis Jones, Bud Dupree, Artie Burns, and in FA went after that Davis wet dream, Mike Mitchell). That's the problem with the defense. I don't know if I put all the blame on Butler for that.
